1. Who we are
Ihwo Technologies Ltd ("Ihwo") runs the Ihwo app and this website. We are the data controller for the personal data described here, and we process it in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.
2. What we collect
- Account details: name, phone number, email address and password.
- Store details: business name, address and the verification documents you upload.
- Orders: what you buy or sell, delivery or pickup details, delivery PIN status and refund claims.
- Payments: transaction records and wallet balance. Card details are handled by our payment partners, and we never store your full card number.
- Device and usage: app version, device type and how you use features, so we can fix problems and improve Ihwo.
- Location: only if you allow it, to show businesses near you.
3. How we use it
- To create your account and run orders, escrow, delivery PINs and refund claims.
- To verify stores and keep fraud off Ihwo.
- To send service messages about your orders and account.
- To send launch news and offers, only if you opt in. You can opt out at any time.
- To meet our legal and tax obligations.
5. How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account is open and afterwards only as long as we need it for legal, tax, fraud-prevention or dispute purposes.
6. Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, to receive a copy of it, to object to some uses, or to withdraw consent. Email support@ihwo.app and we will respond within the time the law allows. You can also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
7. Security
We use encryption in transit, access controls and escrow safeguards to protect your data and money. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep your password and PINs private.
8. Children
Ihwo is not meant for children under 18 without a parent or guardian's permission, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
